Tiny Tell — Baby Cry Analyzer

Last updated: May 22, 2026

⚠ Not a medical device. Tiny Tell is intended for caregiver convenience only. It is not designed for medical diagnosis, treatment, or clinical decision-making. If your baby is in distress or you have concerns about their health, contact your pediatrician or emergency services.

This policy describes what data Tiny Tell collects, how it is processed, and how long it is kept. Tiny Tell is operated by Hafs Ibrahim as an independent developer.

What we collect

When you tap the analyze button, Tiny Tell records a short audio sample of the cry and transmits it to a private inference server for classification. No other data is collected — no name, no email, no account, no device identifier, no usage analytics.

How your audio is processed

Audio is sent over an encrypted connection to a private inference server operated by the developer (Hafs Ibrahim). The server runs an on-device machine learning model to classify the cry into one of the supported categories. No third-party AI services, no cloud LLM providers, no analytics vendors have access to your audio.

After classification, the audio file is discarded immediately from the server. It is not stored, archived, logged, or used to train models. The server retains only ephemeral classification results long enough to return them to your app.

What stays on your device

Your insight history — the classification results plus timestamps — is stored only on your iPhone. There is no server-side history, no cross-device sync, no backup unless you have iCloud Drive enabled at the iOS level. You can clear all local history at any time from the app's Settings screen.

Children's data

Tiny Tell is intended for use by caregivers (adults) to analyze sounds from infants. Audio samples may include the voices of children under 13. We do not knowingly collect identifying information about any child. Audio samples are transient (discarded after inference) and are never linked to a name, account, profile, or other identifier. If you believe an audio sample containing identifying information about a child was sent in error, email the address below and we will confirm it has been discarded.

Third parties

Tiny Tell does not share data with any third party. The only infrastructure involved is Apple's (App Store delivery, iOS device runtime, and iCloud if you have iOS-level backup enabled) and the developer's own private inference server. No advertising networks, no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting vendors, no marketing tools are integrated.

Your rights

Because the audio you send is discarded immediately and no account or identifier is associated with it, there is typically no personal data to request, export, or delete from our side. You may at any time:

  • Delete your local insight history from the app's Settings screen.
  • Stop sending audio by simply not tapping the analyze button or by uninstalling the app.
  • Email us with a request regarding access, deletion, correction, portability, or restriction of processing. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how data is collected or processed, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and surface a notice in the app on next launch. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
